She said it herself, “I’m losing my G-Damned Mind!” And so are we trying to figure out WHY the woman in the video below would have such an emotional reaction to something as trivial as this.
An ambulance – y’know the vehicle staffed with EMTs that routinely/daily rescues and saves the lives of people – that ambulance – was parked in a bike lane in San Francisco recently and San Fran Karen couldn’t take the injustice of it all. It was apparently too much to ask for “Bike Lane Karen” to go around the vehicle – which would’ve taken a second or two at the most. But here we are in the video with Karen launching into hysterics and verbally accosting the driver ORDERING him to move the ambulance out of the bike lane for her convenience as apparently she is the gatekeeper of all bi-pedal transportation lanes in the city by the bay.
Notice that ZERO bikes were affected by this during her tirade. And if they were – I’m guessing that 99% of them would just simply go around the ambulance. What a novel concept.
If any vehicles have the right to park wherever they want it should be emergency vehicles, ambulances, fire trucks, police cars – certainly NOT UPS, FedEx, Amazon delivery trucks. If it was one of those I’d have bike lane Karen’s back on this personal protest.
The driver, to his credit, acquiesced to her vociferous request.
But if this slight inconvenience was enough to cause her to snap like this maybe – as many of the commenters stated – she needs some mental help. And hopefully if/when she does need help (or when a Terminator is chasing her – see her @ handle) I hope and dream that help pulls up with sirens wailing and lights flashing ironically in the form of the vehicle she just admonished for being in HER way.
