The Black Crowes just announced that will be putting out a “Super Deluxe” version of their album Southern Harmony and The Music Companion. This was the second album released by the Black Crowes in May of 1992 and is the only Crowes album to land at number one on the Billboard album charts and had four number-one rock singles, the first album to ever spawn four number-one songs.
The Super Deluxe Edition is on three CDs or four LPs, and includes the remastered original album, a disc with nine outtakes and live-in-the-studio recordings, and a disc with a concert recorded in Houston on November 3rd, 1993. Both box sets will include a 132-page book with insights on making the album from Chris and Rich Robinson, along with sheet music for their nine originals on the album.
There’s also a two-CD version with selections from both bonus discs and the remastered album on vinyl.
