My late dad used to refer to beer he didn’t like as “tiger piss” so that is the name I’m submitting for the new batch of beer produced by Tsingtao.
A (now viral) video clip shows a beer factory worker urinating in the warehouse containing raw material for Tsingtao Beer. The footage shows a worker scrambling into a tank at one of the brewery’s facilities in Shandong, a province on the Yellow Sea, (YELLOW SEA, indeed) and then peeing on piles of raw malt.
Despite the bad piss…er… press, drinking beer contaminated with urine probably won’t harm the human body as most beverages made at large breweries like Tsingtao are tested for microbes and pasteurized to get rid of any bacteria. Plus, it can’t be any worse (maybe better) than the garbage can of house party wop you used to slug down in college. Though it does give one pause when ordering a hazy pale ale.
Maybe start a “Willy Wonka-esque” Golden Ticket promotion that gives the winner a lifetime supply of beer with full access to the factory so they can add their essence into a batch during their private tour.
Back to reality. The employee (former?) was detained as state regulators have started an investigation.
A video clip showed someone urinating in the warehouse containing raw material for Tsingtao Beer went viral on Chinese social media. Regulators of Pingdu County, Qingdao, have started an investigation.
