Aside of the actual holiday, I always look forward to the annual Thanksgiving Safety Tips news package from the local fire department on frying turkeys (same goes with fireworks on the 4th of July).
So if you’ve got a frozen turkey that you plan on frying for Thanksgiving don’t do it. Thaw it first.
The authorities (and I’m guessing the Butterball Hotline) will tell you that a whole turkey should never be dipped into hot oil unless it has been defrosted and thoroughly dried. OR ELSE!
White, Dark or EXTRA CRISPY?
