Inspired by Clark Griswold, as played by Chevy Chase, a man in Rosehill, Kansas decided to fill his house with Christmas lights.
The man, Michael Russell, began his endeavor 15 years ago. And pretty much every year the light display has grown a little bit more. Clark Griswold had a mere 25,000 lights on his house. Michael now has four times as many lights, as well as about 40 inflatables.
According to Michael, each season about 8000 people pass through to check out what has come to be known as the “Griswold House of Rosehill”.
