Lynchburg, Tennessee is primarily know for Jack Daniel’s Whiskey but recently another drink (on the complete opposite end of the beverage spectrum) has taken over the general populace’s attention, so-much-so that many residents took to 911 to uncover the mystery… or mysDAIRY in this case.
Concerned “Lynchburgians” called emergency services because a creek that flows through town had turned almost completely white.
The fire department dispatched a team to check out the creek and make sure there were no hazardous materials in it and found that the only people that would be in any danger would be those residents that were lactose intolerant.
Further investigation found that the creek had turned to milk following to the source, authorities soon figured out that a clogged drain at a nearby dairy plant had caused waste milk to overflow into the creek.
The clog has since been fixed and the creek is now back to normal and authorities estimate that chances of this reoccurring are between 1% and 2%.
