You’ve most likely heard the phrase “like a bull in a China shop” – meaning (loosely) something that plows ahead clumsy, careless – without thought. Just change that phrase slightly “like a bull in a barber shop in China” and you’ve described the scene that happened recently where a cow stampeded through a barber shop.
It happened earlier this week in Nanyang (a city in China’s Henan Province) when a cow ran in through the front door and created quite the hair-raising scene – immediately clearing the place out, and bumping a large piece of furniture holding the camera in the back that captured the chaos…er… cowos.
The cow’s owner says it got nervous while being loaded into a truck, and bolted for the shop.
Also it must be noted that in a rare moment of bovine vanity, the cow does stop to admire itself in one of the shop’s mirrors.
No word on whether the shop will be adding animal grooming to its menu of services.
