The fastest robot to solve a puzzle cube Guinness World Record may have just become unbeatable thanks to four Purdue engineering students.
After more than a decade of fierce, international competition, a group of four U.S. students created a robot that can solve a 3x3x3 puzzle cube (Rubik’s Cube) in an unbelievable 0.103 seconds!
To put that into perspective, that’s literally faster than you can blink.
The incredible invention was built by Matthew Patrohay, Junpei Ota, Aden Hurd, and Alex Berta, who are all students at Purdue University’s Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Their robot, named Purdubik’s Cube, was born after the four students met through a co-op program at Purdue.
Check out the amazing YouTube footage below showing it really is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment – which makes the slow-motion solve even more satisfying to watch.
