Put the two together? Now that might just get you named as this week’s Laura Lee & Cutter Weenie of the Week.
In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 17th, at a time when Laura and I are making our coffee or tea and setting up to do another award-winning morning show (don’t laugh, I’m just trying to manifest that) a 59 year old man from Green Bay was causing some heart palpitations for a Wisconsin state trooper. When the trooper tried to pull over the man for reckless driving at 4 something AM on I-41, he just kept going, and the chase was on, at normal highway speeds though.
LL: It was so slow I’d have probably gone around the chase, like put on my blinker, get into the left lane, pass them, and keep going.
After a few minutes, Fond Du Lac County sheriff officers got involved in the “chase.” The man ignored the flashing lights and the sirens, got off the highway, and started making his way down some city streets. Then, thanks to a pit maneuver by the police, he was stopped in his tracks. The driver, still thinking he could get away, gets out of the car but does not comply with the troopers or the Sheriff deputies, so he gets stunned with a stun gun for his troubles. This whole situation has earned him an arrest for the obvious evading and eluding officers, and obvious traffic violations, and his 9th, yes 9th, OWI.
So for triggering one of the most boring car chases in history, even OJ is like come on man pick up the pace a little. For stunning the Wisconsin state trooper with your stupidity while being stunned, and for not learning his lesson the first 8 times (perhaps he should Google how to be a high-functioning alcoholic..)
