You’re gonna need a bigger… brain.
A fisherman was bitten by a shark while posing for a photo.
Shawn Meuse was on a birthday fishing trip with his friends on Cayo Costa, an island near Boca Grande, Fla., when he decided to pose with a freshly-caught lemon shark.
In the video you can see Meuse holding the top of the shark’s mouth for the social media, look-at-me photo op when suddenly the shark shakes out of his hands, bites his leg and swims off – assumedly satisfied with the result.
The group called 911, applied a tourniquet and waited for the local fire department to respond. When they did, the paramedics called for emergency medical air transport due to the serious nature of the injury.
Following the attack, Meuse was scheduled to have surgery saying, “I’m unlucky or lucky at the same time, because, you know, if it was a few inches one way, you know, I might not be here.”
The lesson here being, if you mess with nature don’t be surprised when nature bites back.
