Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia graciously handled finishing a distant second to Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza for the Heisman Trophy by posting a classy “F-all the voters, but … family for life” message on social media because nothing says elite college football sportsmanship like cursing out the voters who just picked the winner. And after the world got a front-row seat to his mature reaction, he even apologized and praised Mendoza as “an elite competitor” which was thoughtful but too little too late. Pavia should feel shame, shame, shame.
