Fox Valley music lovers got to see one of their own on the long-running ‘American Idol’ talent show.
Singer/songwriter, Genevieve Heyward hails from Lake Geneva and splits her time between Door County and Nashville and has been a fixture in the Valley music scene for years. But if things go right, Heyward could be bound for the bright lights of Hollywood after securing a Golden Ticket to ‘Hollywood Week’ on American Idol.
Heyward wowed the judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie during her audition (taped last fall at Bellmont University in Nashville) where she sang “Magic Man” from Heart.
Heyward has one more step to take before she potentially heads to the actual Hollywood, CA where the real competition begins. But is psyched for the opportunity nonetheless saying in an Instagram post, “AHHHH I DID IT!!!!!! Gold ticket secured babyaaa, I am so fricken grateful for this opportunity 😭💓 “
