In 1987, as a very young adult, New Jersey guitar sensation Zakk Wylde got the gig of a lifetime as the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne. He can first be heard on the 1988 album No Rest for the Wicked, but became a household name after 1991’s No More Tears. During breaks from performing with Ozzy, he started his own band, Black Label Society, which released its debut album in 1998 called Sonic Brew and created a legion of fans along the way. On Friday, they put out a new album called Engines of Demolition, and on the day of the album’s release, while playing in Madison, WI at the Sylvee, they debuted a brand new song, “Ozzy’s Song.” A song that was written in tribute to Zakk’s former boss, bandmate, and friend Ozzy Osbourne.
