Wade Nixon of the YouTube series “Garbage Time” replaced a car’s engine oil with American nacho cheese which Nixon describes as “pretty much chemicals” and “barely food” – honestly he’s not wrong.
Here’s the description of the experiment:
Garbage Time tests the potential of gourmet nacho cheese as an unconventional engine lubricant. By preparing the thick, processed product and adding it to a neglected Volkswagen then observes the engine’s operational response and mechanical behavior under extreme, cheese-filled conditions.
Nixon did this on a VW Beetle that already had a tree fall on it so you might as well mess up the internal also.
It pretty much goes as you’d expect – the cheese completely wrecked the engine by the end of the experiment.
- It shows that you shouldn’t use anything but the recommended oil for your vehicle.
- It gives you a second thought about ordering that nacho platter.
