MISHICOT, Wis. — A former Mishicot High School teacher who had sex with a student reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Ryan Schroeder is convicted in Manitowoc County Court on one count of repeated sexual assault of a child, while 18 other charges were dismissed.
Schroeder had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl for more than a year dating back to 2023. He faces up to 40 years in prison when sentenced on July 22.
Schroeder had previously been convicted on federal child pornography charges related to pictures and videos involving the victim. Sentencing in that case is set for June 16.
