A few weeks ago a Colorado woman cleared out a local farm stand – not in the good way where you PAY for the goods.
So much for the “honor system” huh?
She helped herself to , and started clearing out the shelves and filling a bag with freshly made oatmeal cream pies, along with some organic sourdough bread – all sans payment. But it wasn’t without courtesy she did say “Thanks!” before taking off with the pilfered pies.
Well (as is the case almost everywhere these days) the farm stall had a camera inside, so there’s footage of the theft.
The owner said she didn’t know what to do . . . that was until the woman brazenly came back a few weeks later to the scene of her crime for seconds.
The owner rightfully confronted her, and said, “I have a tab for you from a couple weeks ago,” and asked how she intended to pay.
The woman patted down her pockets, and said she needed to go back to her car to get her phone.
She dropped her shopping bag, and the owner filmed her, so she could get her license plate.
She then passed that along to the police, who ID’d and charged her accordingly.”
@goneastraygoods Please share along the Front Range — Loveland, Fort Collins, Berthoud, Longmont, Boulder, Lyons, and surrounding areas. This woman was caught on surveillance stealing from my stand. We already have identifying information on her, but I’m hoping to connect with other businesses — large or small — who may have experienced similar theft involving the same person. At this point, I’m trying to determine whether this is part of a larger pattern and build an aggregate case if applicable. If you recognize her or have relevant information/video footage, please message me directly. Small businesses talk, and theft impacts all of us. Please share. #colorado #farmstand ♬ original sound - Gone Astray Goods
