A refrigeration company in Japan has unveiled a human-sized cooling pod designed like a vending machine to combat extreme heat on construction sites, in warehouses, and at outdoor events.
The Do Hiemon Box stands at just over 6 feet tall and holds an interior temperature of 59 degrees Fahrenheit while blasting air as cool as 41 degrees at the head, neck, shoulders, and back.
A quick 5-to-10-minute session helps keep overheated workers safe, while costing only about 10 cents per hour.
