Christin Billips won first prize in the Ohio State Fair poster contest. They won $1,000 and tickets to the fair. This person did nothing wrong since they were allowed to enter a poster CREATED BY AI. Yea, as long as it was disclosed, it was ok to enter AI slop. I mean, read the room OSF PR team, even if someone enters an AI poster, don’t pick it for first place FFS. As you can imagine, this has generated a lot of negative comments and so heading into next year the OSF will most likely prohibit the use of AI. YA THINK? Stop the slop. The Ohio State Fair, for even allowing this to be a thing in a creative poster contest, should feel shame, shame, shame.
