We are proud to name as this week’s Laura Lee & Cutter Weenie of the Week, Tequila! Wait wait wait not that Tequila. The Milwaukee woman of the same name who in fact was drinking Tequilla while driving down the wrong side of the road.
It was a Saturday night in mid October when the calls started coming, there’s a car driving the wrong way down the way, is it a ghost? An Illusion? Or something worse? Like the curse of the Saturday night drunk. The car was heading south in the northbound lanes of I-41 near Good Hope Road. While she may have been hoping to find her way off, the cops found her in the center breakdown lane, still facing the wrong direction and the car sticking out so far that the cop car had to go around her to avoid hitting her. The driver of the car, Tequilla Williams said she merged onto the highway on the wrong side and was trying to find a way out. Ok simple enough, then came the haunting question… ma’am have you been drinking? And just like Romo she said “just a little bit.” While she refused a breathalyzer and therefore she was taken to a local hospital for a blood test the police did search her car before it was towed and found an open bottle of don Julio. Don Julio is a tequila brand. That’s right, Tequila was drunk on Tequila while driving down the wrong side of the highway.
So for… everyone else on I-41, let’s hope the next tequila stays on the rocks.
For… Tequila, taking the phrase “going against traffic” a little too literally.
And for…. a little advice to everyone.. you can lick the salt and suck the lime, but please don’t suck at driving and also don’t drink and drive.
