Local Children's Author Book Fair!
There is nothing more magical than reading a great book to a child. And there is something extra special about reading a book written by someone whom your child has met in person. On Sunday, May 21st at 1 pm, The Caramel Crisp Bookstore will be hosting a wonderful group of children’s authors from right here in the Oshkosh area. What a great opportunity for your family to meet the creators of the books that they love! And what a great chance for parents to find some excellent books to keep their children immersed in reading over the summer months.
The Caramel Crisp crew is so excited about the line-up of authors that will be attending the Book Fair! The “Head-liner” is nationally known author Pat Zietlow Miller. Pat Zietlow Miller has published 20 picture books and has more on the way. Her first book, SOPHIE’S SQUASH, won the Golden Kite Award, an Ezra Jack Keats New Writer Honor, and a Charlotte Zolotow Honor. BE KIND was on the New York Times bestseller list for 10 weeks, and IN OUR GARDEN was a Dolly Parton Imagination Library selection. Pat hails from Oshkosh and now lives in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Pat is just one of many amazing local authors who will be attending the Fair. Other authors include Erin Kant (the Rhino and Dino Books), Patricia Eckerman Ambas (I Can’t Wait to Love You Forever), and Joy Bashara, author of three charming books about a little gnome named Eilert.
Ginny Gillman will be there with her wonderful book, The Christmas Stowaway. Jacqueline Paske Gill has illustrated over 25 children's books, 8 of which she has also written. S.E. Remley is the combined pen name of sisters Sara Richardson and Erin Romero who are the authors of the delightful Scamper and the Camper children’s book series.
This is only a sampling of the great authors that will be attending The Caramel Crisp Book Fair! And, adding to the fun, there will be Face Painting and Balloons to enchant young visitors!
There is no cost to attend The Caramel Crisp Local Children’s Author Book Fair. Mark your calendars now and make plans to attend with your family – your children will thank you!
