Ground broken on Wilden Portfolio Park in Appleton [AUDIO]

APPLETON, Wis. — Ground is broken on Wilden Portfolio Park in Appleton.

The development includes a new Thrivent operations center on the financial group’s property just north of Interstate 41, along with plans for housing, businesses, public spaces and other amenities.

Thrivent Chief Financial and Investment Officer David Royal says partnering with the city of Appleton on the project will benefit the community………..

Mayor Jake Woodford says the park will help meet a housing need in the city………

Work on the new Thrivent operations center is expected to wrap up in 2028. Detailed plans for the rest of Wilden Portfolio Park have not been finalized.

16-year old accused of bringing handgun to Oshkosh North High School [AUDIO]

OSHKOSH, Wis–A 16-year old student is in custody after bringing a gun to Oshkosh North High School. Police Chief Dean Smith says they were alerted to the weapon around 9:20 this (Wednesday) morning….

Police were advised that a 17-year old students may also have a weapon in the school. That student was later located in another city. Investigators believe he was not involved in the incident at the school.

Superintendent Brian Davis credits those who made the initial report………….

Students were taken to Oshkosh West High School to be picked up by their parents.

Jordan Love’s foundation donates $45,000 to Menasha recovery

MENASHA, Wis. — Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love and his Hands of 10ve Foundation will donate $45,000 to help Menasha recover from the July tornado.

The donation includes $15,000 each for the City of Menasha to replace playground equipment at Smith Park, Menasha Gegan Elementary School to rebuild its playground, and Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity for home repairs and new construction.

The donation comes in addition to a $250,000 Packers Give Back Impact Grant announced last week.

Love launched the Hands of 10ve Foundation in 2024 to empower children from all backgrounds to participate in sports, raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention and foster stronger relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Ozzfest in 2027, Is It Really Happening?

Ozzfest started as a one-off festival in California in 1996, but in 1997 it became a touring behemoth. Put on by Ozzy’s wife, Sharon, and later with the help of his son, Jack, it seemed like there would never be a year when Ozzfest didn’t happen. That changed in the late 2000s, with the last full U.S. tour happening in 2010. But Ozzfest didn’t die completely, with various destination festivals happening a handful of times around the world. After Ozzy’s death last year, the rumors have been ramped up about its possible return. Now it looks like it’s happening! The official Ozzfest social accounts are just teasing us now.

Missing Green Bay man found dead

GREEN BAY, Wis. — A Green Bay man reported missing earlier this month is found dead.

Police say the body of Matthew Zahn was discovered in the bay of Green Bay on Sept. 13.

A Silver Alert was issued for Zahn after he had not been heard from since Sept. 7.

Investigators do not suspect foul play.

1 dead, 1 arrested in I-43 crash

GREEN BAY, Wis. — One person is dead — another is in custody — following a crash along Interstate 43 in Green Bay.

Police say a pickup truck rear-ended a sedan in the northbound lanes of I-43 near the State Highway 54/57 interchange shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The 55-year-old Sheboygan man driving the sedan was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 29-year-old Green Bay man operating the truck was arrested on suspicion of operating while suspended causing death.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Sept 13th – City of Muskego
After a person’s house was toilet papered, he found an abundance of tuna in his yard

Sept 13th – Also City of Muskego
Multiple homes were hit with eggs and flour was left on porches. At 1 am the cops found 3 teen girls carrying eggs and flour.

Sept 14th – City of Eau Claire
A woman walked out of a store with a cart full of stuff without paying, she yelled at the staff when they confronted her saying that if they stopped her she’d get them fired.

Sept 14th – Village of Pleasant Prairie
2 female cousins got into a fight and one of them threw a burrito at the other’s head

My toxic trait is the fact that I would of tried to catch that burrito in my mouth like a seal. This and more on this weeks Small Town Crime Wave

Meet ‘Nash’: The Bestest Boy and World’s Worst Guard Dog [VIDEO]

If you’re seeking ‘home security’ you could get a fancy-schmancy home security system, monitored 24 / 7 / 365. You could also get a dog. You could double down and get both – as a contingency plan. But if you do choose to make the dog a piece of your home security puzzle, just make sure the dog understands his duties as assigned and are clearly defined… or else it will just try to make friends with the intruder. See Nash.

An intruder broke into a home in the San Diego area earlier this month, in the middle of the day. The homeowners weren’t there at the time . . . but they were alerted by their surveillance system, which caught it all on video.

The family’s dogs WERE there, but they weren’t exactly intimidating.

The stand-out of the domestic doggos was Nash, a 90-pound golden retriever.

Nash actually carried his TOYS over to the intruder (several times) in an attempt to try to entice him into a game of fetch or maybe it was out of personal pride. Either way the intruder was more interested in just making himself at home.

That was until the actual home security system caught the activity and alerted authorities – who swept in (drones and all) and removed him from the property and was jailed for burglary.

As for Nash, the homeowners now have proof that he won’t be much help in defending the place against break-ins. But on the sunny side… he still a very good boy.
