Best 1-2 Punch Album Opening
Today the Onion's AV Club published their critics' picks for the best album-opening one-two punches. Since it is the AV Club, many of their picks delve into some more obscure indie titles. Click the link above to check out their picks. However, we've got a couple picks of our own.

Elwood's choices:
  • Led Zeppelin IV: "Black Dog" and "Rock and Roll"
  • Metallica's Black Album: "Enter Sandman" and "Sad But True"
  • Foo Fighters Wasting Light: "Bridges Burning" and "Rope"
I was going to go with the one-two punch of "Hells Bells" and "Shoot to Thrill" from AC/DC's Back in Black, but the opening pair on side two of the album ("Back in Black" and "You Shook Me All Night Long") is way better.

John's pick:
  • "Once" and "Even Flow" from Pearl Jam's Ten.

What are your favorite album-opening one-two punches?
